Granular Application
All Willowridge applications, with the exception of broadleaf weed control, are granular. We have found this provides several advantages over sprayed applications.
- Less volatile: Less susceptible to drift or evaporation. Gets to the ground where the turf needs them most.
- Sulphur coated urea provides slow release fertilizer over extended period of time into the soil.
- Safer for you and your pets. Wet applications are easy to track through and stick to both shows and paws.
Application 1: Mid March - April
Pre-emergence application. This application is a grassy weed preventative and show release fertilizer. Water in within 1 week of application.
Application 2: Mid April - May
Pre-emergence and fertilizer application. This is a booster application of crabgrass preventative and show release fertilizer. Water in within 72 hours of application.
Application 3: Early June-July
Insect control with trace nutrients. This application is expressly for the control of surface feeding insects. Water in within 72 hours of application.
Application 4: Mid July
Insect control with trace nutrients. This is a booster for the June application. The insecticide in this application is not to be considered a prevention or control of white grubs. Water in within 72 hours of application.
Application 5: Early September
Early Fall fertilizer. This application is a slow release fertilizer. Water in within 1 week of application.
Application 6: Late Fall Fertilizer
This application is a winterizer fertilizer and takes the place of an early spring application. Does not need watered in.
Broadleaf Weed Control
Spring and/or fall as needed. this application controls broadleaf weeds. Does not water in.
Grub Control
Grub control is available at your request or at the first sign of grub activity.
